WHBHS is filled with hundreds of students, and even has at least nine sets of twins! In our Journalism class alone, there are three twins and one triplet! Being a twin myself I had to see what my classmates’ experiences are like.
One set of twins are sophomores Brian and Jeremy Schwartz. I asked about what it’s like to be a twin and how he can last all day with him. Brian told me, “I have no idea how I can last a whole day with him, let alone my whole life!” You wouldn’t think anyone would mix Brian and Jeremy up, since they have different hair, but Brian says, “People actually have mixed me and Jeremy up. I really have no idea why. We look nothing alike.”
Senior Kristen Polan is another twin in our class, with a brother Michael. Kristen said going to school with Mike is not bad, except when he rushes her out of the house. “He’s more of a morning person.” Kristen says that it’s nice being a twin because they both have the same group of friends. People think that twins think alike but Kristen informs me of the opposite. “We both have completely different personalities. We just think very differently.”
I think that it really isn’t too bad being a twin. I have a brother and things can get rough between us, but I still love him. As a freshman it was worse because we had classes together. He likes to be the life of the class so he was so loud and obnoxious sometimes. We fight over silly reasons, never important ones. I love him though, and it’s good to know I’ll have a brother to protect me and be there for me for my whole life.
Another Journalism classmate, Julia Frangeskos, a sophomore and a triplet, agrees that, “Although we have our fights and disagreements, it is always nice to have brothers that care a lot about me. Sometimes they are a little TOO overprotective, but I know in the end that it’s only because they love me.”
