From cowboy boots to plaid flannels Luke Bryan is starting off 2014 with his That’s My Kind of Night tour. The tour kicked off on January 16 in Columbus, Ohio and made its way to New York City on January 25 at Madison Square Garden. Luke Bryan has taken over the world of country music and has blown away all of his fans with his talent as a singer.

Luke Bryan is a Georgia native who burst into the music industry during 2007 when he released his first album, “I’ll Stay Me”. He started off playing for small crowds and his fan base has grown so much that he sold out MSG in five minutes. Concert tickets ranged anywhere from $30 all the way to $400.

At the concert on January 25^th, which I attended with friends, the two opening acts for Luke Bryan were Cole Swindell who sings, “Chillin’ It” and Lee Brice who sings “Hard to Love”.

When it was finally time for Luke Bryan he rose up from the stage standing on top of an old Chevy pick-up truck and started off by singing “That’s My Kind of Night”.

He sang his singles, “Drunk on You”, “Crash My Party” and his newest single “Drink a Beer”.

Senior Tina Fibkins said, “My favorite part about the concert was how he interacted with the crowd, he was really into entertaining the crowd and not just his music. Oh and the really cute cowboy 10 rows in front of us.”

Alexa Smith said, “I loved the song “Drink a Beer”, the whole atmosphere in the stadium changed when he sang that song and it was such a memorable part of the concertJ.”

Luke Bryan ended the concert with his well-known single, “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” where he showed off his amazing dance moves that all the girls loved.

The tour wraps up on October 25 in Los Angeles, California, so there’s still time to purchase tickets for a show even though you’ll have to travel, but it’s worth it!

It was by far one of the best concerts I have been to. The crowd was standing the whole time singing along and having a good time.  It was definitely my kind of night.
