Hozier, the famous Irish singer and songwriter, best known for his infamous song ‘Take me to Church’ dropped a new album that already has fans raving. His new album contains unreleased songs, dropped on March 22nd, was originally leaked on TikTok and fans are going crazy over the song ‘Wildflower and Barley.’

Hozier announced his new album via social media of a time lapsed sketch of a skeleton he drew, fans instantly became overwhelmed with excitement and support for the singer. It had only been two years since his last album, Unreal Unearth, which was admittedly not as mainstream (compared to his album Hozier) but still was heavily supported by his fans. Having been too long since he dropped music this album only exploded with buzz and popularity, all over TikTok fans post and sing to a excerpt from one of the songs on the album, even going as far as to use that leaked clip and dance at a wasteland event in NYC. @churchofhozier posted a video of fans at the Wasteland event singing along to the lyrics of the unreleased song, having already memorized them even before the full song/album dropped. As of March 22nd fans were waiting on standby refreshing the app ready for the album to be on apple music, and the support was overwhelming.

Hozier fans have been anxiously waiting for Hozier to drop new music. On March 22 he officially released his new album. All over social media fans are sharing the love for his new music, fans are posting to the songs, sharing his album, and the streams on Spotify are overwhelming. This is the first time in two years that Hozier dropped music, and according to fans’ reactions, he didn’t disappoint.

Critics report that there has been a shift in his lyrics, reportedly he used to praise these women he sings about and transitioned into almost resentfully, saying that these women are too good for him. Fans say that the way he longingly sings about these women is more emotional and moving, easier to connect to, than his old music when he would praise their sweetness and demeanor. His lyrics are reaching a deeper meaning, making fans truly astonished by the way he is so lyrically blessed and wishes to be enough for these amazing women he so desperately admires.
