Who did you listen to the most in 2023? With Spotify wrapped, listeners looked back at their music taste in 2023. Spotify Wrapped is Spotify’s yearly review that shows users their most-played songs, albums, podcasts, and most-played artists.

In 2023, the most streamed song was “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus. The most streamed artist was Taylor Swift, with 26.1 billion streams since 1/1/23. The most streamed group was BTS, and the most viral hit was “Boys a Liar pt.2” by PinlPantheress, Ice Spice.

Senior Charlotte Dermody says she looks forward to Spotify wrapped every year. She said, “It’s fun to see throughout the year which songs I listened to most throughout the stages of my year and what I was going through.”

Spotify adds new features each year to Spotify Wrapped to attract listeners. This year they added a new feature called “Me in 2023” which aligns listeners’ habits with one of 12 characters, like “Vampire, collector, or shapeshifter”. Another new feature is “Sound Town” which matches listeners’ music library to a city based on the listeners’ favorite artists.

But how accurate is it? Senior Maria Sfyroeras says, “My Spotify wrapped was pretty accurate for the most part and got most of my popular artists down.”

If you’re new to Spotify and don’t know how to access your wrapped, it comes out in late November or early December. Open the Spotify app, scroll to the right on the top bar where it says “all, music, podcasts”, etc. Look for a button that says, “Wrapped”, Click on your “wrapped” which should be on the top left of your screen. Then, Spotify will show you a slide show of your year in review!

What will you be listening to in 2024?
