Unwrap the Magic: The Best Christmas Movies to Bundle Up with This Holiday Season

From “Frosty the Snowman” to “Christmas Vacation,” ‘tis the season for holiday movies. To get into the holiday spirit, here is the perfect holiday movie guide to get you on the nice list this year.

Family Friendly:

  • Home Alone is a great family classic, it keeps you on the edge of your seat, and always gives you a good laugh. It is about two hours long, and is good to bundle up and watch with your loved ones. Home Alone tops the list with $914.8 million dollars made in the box office when it first came out.
  • Elf, one of the funniest Christmas movies, is a must watch every holiday season, it runs for just about 1 hour and 40 minutes. If you like the elves in Santa’s workshop, you will like an Elf in New York City even more.

Christmas Classics:

  • Frosty the Snowman is a must watch, and short and sweet with the duration of about 25 minutes. It is a great kids pick, and gives great ideas to build some snowmen in your own front year after school.
  • The Grinch, another 25 minute quick pick, assures you to lock your doors this December so no one steals your Christmas. Along with the original, there are other versions of this movie you can watch as well.

Hallmark and Lifetime Movies:

  • Christmas time + falling in love = a great combination. Did you know that 80 million people a year watch at least 20 minutes worth of Hallmark movies during the Christmas season? Lifetime and Hallmark are always on live TV, so no cost is required. These types of movies are cheesy, but worth the watch. Definitely great for your significant other this season or for a fun girls night. Like An Unexpected Christmas, check out this list of must-watch movies.

Food for the fun filled movie night:

  • A simple Swiss Miss packet, oiled water, and some milk is the perfect way to hydrate while sitting back and getting cozy. The #1 holiday drink is a must this time of year. Pillsbury Christmas Tree, Snowman, and Reindeer cookies and just pop them in the oven and ready to eat. If you’re feeling like a pastry cook, you can make classic chocolate chip cookies or sugar cookies.

Disney Fun:

  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas, are great kids christmas movies, and especially magical this time of year. A favorite pick from my sisters and me, we watch every year. Both average out to an hour and 10 minutes, and are always bringing the Christmas season to life in your house.
