Listen up boys! Prom is right around the corner and you better start thinking of great ways to ask your date! The old ‘‘will you go to prom with me?’’ via text/FaceBook message won’t cut it this year.

Erik Nidzyn asked his date by ‘’organizing solo cups spelling out prom on my ping pong table.’’ Erik felt pretty confident about his proposal he said, ‘’I mean who could say no to that?’’ Who also knew Erik could be a romantic?

At first Alex Patricolo’s proposal was an impulsive move.  He said, “I just got down on one knee and asked her but then I did my cute ‘’promposal’’ on Valentine’s Day by giving her a box of chocolates with ‘’if life is like a box of chocolates, then it would be sweet if you went to prom with me’’ on the inside.”  Alex’s idea was inspired by the holiday of love.

The famous Marc Cotter says depending on the girl, and of course his mood in the morning, he would surprise the special someone over the loud speaker during the morning announcements. ”It just sounds like something I’d do – embarrassing and courageous.” Marc hasn’t found his prom date yet. ‘’I think it would be great, but I just haven’t found that special someone I care enough about.’’ Watch out ladies Marc is on the hunt!

OR…you could be like John La mura and start your own game show (look for that on a future Hurricane Watch). That’s always an option.
