Whether you plan on lying on the beach or lying on your couch everyone enjoys the luxury of a week off in the middle of February. The break kicks off on Valentine’s Day and we return to school just in time for the long month of March.

Florida is going to be the most visited place this February, which makes sense Florida is considered “America’s Caribbean.” Sophomore Giana Acampora is traveling to “America’s Caribbean,” visiting Tampa and Orlando.  She is most excited for “spending time in the sunny and warm weather.” Another person, headed to “America’s Caribbean” is sophomore Ava Klinge. Ava is going to Disney World and is most excited for all of the rides and she said, “I love the roller coasters and it’ll be cool to feel like a little kid again.”

Some of us will be staying home this break and enjoying a staycation. Sophomore Carleigh Kerns plans spending the week off watching shows on Netflix and spending time with her family. She said she isn’t traveling this break because “we went to Disney in November, which wasn’t that long ago and it was a big trip. So for this break we’re going to stay low key and relax at home.” If she could go anywhere for break she would go to Vancouver, Canada.

Sophomore Maddie Neuberger will also be spending her week at home. She plans on just relaxing at home and spending time with her friends. She isn’t able to go on vacation because she is going to a volleyball tournament in Washington, D.C. If she could go anywhere she would go to the Bahamas.

Whether you are going to be traveling to a tropical island or staying home and watching Netflix for seven days straight, having the week off will be nice. February break is only days away! Happy Vacationing or Staycationing!
