Accepted!

That’s the word that every senior wants to see when opening up a college letter. It’s that time of year when acceptance letters start rolling in, and after months of waiting in suspense, a weight is lifted off a seniors’ shoulders knowing they got in somewhere.

According to the Colleges Report 2013 Acceptance Rates, colleges are being more selective and admission officers often select students who are likely to enroll.

It can definitely be nerve racking when waiting for acceptance letters. Senior Tim Hoare has already received two acceptance letters from the University of New Hampshire and Vermont. He said he was “anxious but excited” while waiting to see if he was accepted or not.

Jules Robbins, who has been accepted to the York College of PA nursing program, said, “I was so relieved when I got accepted into one of my top schools. I’m almost 100% sure I’m going to York College. I’m so happy with my decision and it’s exciting to start my career soon at a college I love.”

Even though some seniors are still waiting to hear back from other schools Jodie Sipala, who has been accepted to Quinnipiac and Tampa said, “I’m just relieved that I know I got in somewhere.”

Senior Vanessa Canavan agreed. “I probably won’t be going to Quinnipiac even though I was accepted. I applied to 10 schools so I’m still waiting to hear back.”

Congratulations to all those who have been accepted and good luck to those who are still waiting to hear back!
