Need a friend? No problem! Friends for friends is the perfect club to join if you are interested in meeting new people or looking for some community service hours. Since the club is exclusively for freshmen and seniors they should take advantage of the opportunity and get involved!

The advisors of Friends for Friends, Mr. Walling and Ms. Repp, said, “The objective of the club is to match a senior girl with a freshmen girl or vice versa and the purpose is for the seniors to act as mentors to the freshmen. We provide community service activities and we try to do something for the local community, nation and possibly the world.”

Freshman Dane Mendoza whose friend is Kyle Maddock, decided to join because “I had friends who were in the club.”

Senior Gen Spanarkel, vice president of the club, said, “We talk about new community service projects at the meetings.”

Both Dane Mendoza and Gen Spanarkel agreed that there is always great food to look forward to at the meetings, which is another reason to join.

Friends for Friends meet once or twice a month, usually on Wednesdays. Make sure to listen to the announcements to find out when the next meeting is!
