Marli Kosasih, one of our friendly lunch ladies, is loved by many and hated by none. This is her second year working at WHBHS, traveling all the way from the town of located in Indonesia.

Students such as Junior Julian Christy said, “She makes the day worth living.” Junior Tom Eckart agreed, “She makes the day a little brighter with her sweet smile and her great enthusiasm.”

Luckily, a friend of hers told her of a job opening at our school. She then applied and in September 2012 she started working in our cafeteria.

Although she loves veggie straws, she says that her favorite part of this job is “being around the kids. It’s nice.”

Students really seem to like her too. Junior Roger Llivisaca described her as “really nice and really friendly.” And Junior Luis Muralles loves buying Vitamin Water, bagels and Fruit Roll-ups from her.

We are all grateful that we have our Marli! Be sure to give her a warm smile and a hello next time you see her!
