The Canes defeated Islip 1-0 in the first round of the Class A playoffs on Wednesday, May 14th.  Senior Brett Pisaneschi pitched a three hitter for the Hurricanes.

Junior Dan McEnvoy scored the only run of the game.  In the top of the seventh, with two outs,  Dan singled, stole second and third, then came home on a sloppy overthrow.

The Canes (11-10) continue to make WHB history.  With a 0-20 record just four years ago, the team might just be one of the most improved teams we’ve witnessed in a while at WHB.
