The Community Mourns for Cory

There are no words to describe the grief the WHB community feels for the loss of 2010 graduate Cory Hubbard.

A top scholar athlete, who was captain of the wrestling, lacrosse and football teams, Cory is remembered as everybody’s friend who brought joy to everyone he met.

On Tuesday, over 100 friends, family, and former teachers of Cory Hubbard gathered on the football field to form the number 12, Cory’s lacrosse and football number at WHB.

On the event’s Facebook page, organizers urged friends to gather saying, “In honor of Cory and to show our never-ending love for him, we are arranging a group picture to be taken with all of Cory’s friends who he impacted so greatly.”

A scholarship has been set up in Cory’s memory.  If interested, please send donations for the Cory Hubbard Memorial Scholarship Fund to Ms. Masterson, WHB Athletic Department, 49 Lilac Road, Westhampton Beach.
