The hometown battle is back and greater than ever!

The rivalry will finally be settled for the 2014 class to see which town is the best. Westhampton Beach versus East Quogue (Hard Core) versus Remsenburg Speonk (The ‘Burg) versus East Moriches (The Zoo). The true winner will rise in the end in what will be the battle of all battles.

The towns will be versing each other in a March Madness bracket competition to determine who is the superior town. The battle, which will be aired on three consecutive shows on the Hurricane Watch, will show the towns competing in handball and kickball. The final two towns will compete in a dodgeball and intellectual showdown.

The teams consist of six senior guys. The Westhampton Beach squad is Max Pastor, Evan Gagne, Zach Rignola, Noah Terry, Graham Brown, Matt Higgins, and Conor Cassara.

East Quogue will be Mike Zarro, Danny Burns, Liam Culhane, Morris Franco, Matt Connor, and Kyle Ebrus.

East Moriches will be Trevor Booth, John LaMura, Eric Silverman, Kyle Maddock, Justin Grieco, Timmy Timms, and Nick Brown.

Remsenburg Speonk will be Jack Fink, Tim Hoare, Aiden Kravitz, Eric Hayes, Cooper Lacetera, Wyatt Sommer, and Marc Cotter.

The first showdown will be East Quogue vs. Westhampton Beach in handball and Remsenburg vs. East Moriches in kickball. The championship round will be the winners of the first round in a dodgeball/intellectual showing.

Remsenburg native Jack Fink, notorious for voicing his opinion, has been thrashing the three others. Both WHB and The ‘Burg are the favorites to make it to the championship round.

Personally I cannot wait until WHB destroys The ‘Burg so I can for once get in my best friends face that The ‘Burg is nothing. Eric Silverman has added that although EMO is the underdogs, they will look to “shut everyone up” and go further than expected.
