Earlier this month Westhampton Beach welcomed Ms. Angiporti to the guidance department as the replacement for former A-D guidance counselor Ms. Probst.

After college Ms. Angiporti started working in Media and Advertisement but she decided that “I was spending my whole day doing something that didn’t matter as much as working with people.”

Ms. Angiporti also worked for an organization called SNAP where she ran healthy choices lessons and after school programs in the Bay Shore and Central Islip School Districts. Later, she worked as a guidance counselor at Sachem North High School for four years.

For 15-20 years Ms. Angiporti has coached youth softball. Coaching softball also influenced her decision to leaving Media and Advertisement and start working with people. She added that she has nurturing instinct and she cares about people and students and it was an easy choice to be a guidance counselor. Her favorite part about being a guidance counselor is “the students and the fact that everyday is completely different and certainly not boring.”

Some interesting facts about Ms. Angiporti are she played the flute and bassoon in high school and she loves karaoke “even though I stink,” she joked. Lastly, she has two sons who are five and four months old.

Ms. Angiporti is excited to get know everyone in our district. She said, “I have heard many wonderful things about the district and so far everybody has been incredibly  welcoming and friendly and I’m excited for the years to come.”

Ms. Angiporti wants the student and the staff of WHBHS to know that, “It is an honor to be a part of the district and there is never a bad question and my door is always open.”

Welcome to Westhampton Beach Ms. Angiporti!
