Senior Corey Bentz said he is addicted to Boom Burger’s wings, because “the guy behind the counter is like Jesus Christ.” Corey said he’s been addicted to Boom Burger “since 1995.” Junior John La Mura said, “Definitely sports I love the team feeling and you get so invested into what the teams are doing.” Johnny Ls got hooked on sports when he was very young. Social studies teacher Mr. Williams said he is addicted to “Green Tea from Hampton Coffee, I need it to start off my day.” Junior Emma Gristina says she’s addicted to “Oreo’s because they’re the best cookie ever invented.”
As to what students think the most common addiction in WHBHS is, senior Corey Bentz said, “Skipping class and going to the beach.” Senior Frank Zambik thinks “smoking cigarettes” has WHB kids addicted. John La Mura had a very strong opinion about this question. John says WHB students are addicted to “alcohol, more than any other school.” Juniors Zoe Recchion and Emma Gristina agree that WHB is addicted to “egg Sandwiches.”
Some common addictions for teens are Facebook, computer in general, pornography, cell phone, and many others.
