Lacrosse stand-out Senior Zoe Recchion recently signed with Syracuse University. What made her choose SU as her final destination?

Just about six hours away from WHB, Syracuse University is a four-year, private co-ed college. With a total of over 20,000 students attending and 20 varsity sports teams, this school has a tremendous amount of school pride for orange and blue.

What Zoe liked about Syracuse University is “it’s a D1 school still located in New York; it’s cold and I love the snow.” Division 1 is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.  As a signed athlete, Zoe is committed to multiple pairs of sneakers, lacrosse sticks, cleats, sweatshirts, headgear and much more.

Zoe’s excited to “start a new path in life” at a college that offers many activities. There is always something to do such as the student newspaper, radio station, theater, etc. Zoe plans on studying criminal justice.

Picking a college that best suits you is a struggle along with the mixed emotions of leaving home. “I’m going to miss Loughlin’s egg sandwiches, my friends, family and my bed,” said Zoe.  She is most excited “to meet new people, making new friends and playing lax.”

Good luck Zoe as you start your journey at Syracuse University!
