Loyola University is a private, catholic university located in Baltimore, Maryland where 4,000 undergraduate students attend every year. But why did senior Joe Ogeka choose to enroll here?
Choosing a college is not easy. You have looked at hundreds of colleges. You finally narrow it down to the two or three you really want to go to and now the hard part. Choosing the college. For Joe, he had applied to Fairfield, Rutgers, and Bryant before choosing to take his talents to Loyola. “I knew I wanted to go there about a month after I got accepted and went to visit it,” Joe said.
Loyola University is known for being very intense when it comes to sports. That’s just one thing Joe likes about Loyola. Joe says, “The dorms and the campus all together is the nicest I have ever seen.” These fully furnished dorms at Loyola come with heating, air conditioning, laundry facilities, vending machines, and recreational areas.
Joe’s girlfriend, junior Zoe Recchion, played a big role in helping him decide his college. She said she was mad that he chose Loyola because “he is going to be pretty far away but I was excited for him because he got into a good school and he was happy.” Zoe also said being around Joe during his decision was “annoying because I had to hear about every application and had to go to his P.O. box everyday and wait for his acceptance letters.”
Don’t worry Zoe you don’t have wait at the P.O. Box anymore! Joe Ogeka has chosen Loyola University as his college. For the dorms, for the sports, and for the campus, Joe is off to Baltimore!
