Everyone has a talent. EVERYONE. Maybe yours is singing, blowing milk out of your nose, or dancing. Many people have a hard time even finding their talent, but if you really put the time into it, it will be discovered!
Sophmore Jessica Prost told me that she thinks hidden talents shouldn’t be hidden or kept from people. “If you have a talent you should show people because they would probably love it!” Santiago disagrees. He says, “The whole point of having a hidden talent is to keep it ‘hidden’. To keep it to yourself and maybe a friend or two will know about it, but some people just don’t like to publicize the talents they have.”
There are about one thousand of students in WHBHS, and all have something to reveal about themselves. Something that you would never think they could do… A hidden talent! And I’m really eager to find out talents that some of these students have. Snapping your fingers is just an ordinary thing that almost anyone can do. But can you snap your toes? Well Sophmore Julia Thorp can! She told me that it just comes easy to her. She learned to do it when she was younger and she showed me too! It was amazing! I had no idea that that was possible.
Some people have many talents, like Sophmore Danielle Nill. Danielle can dance, which is not really a hidden talent, but she is truly amazing at it. Danielle told me that she can also whistle with her hands. “You just have to clasp your hands together and make them tight and then just blow through.” She tried to show me how to do it, but it’s NOT easy! Another unique talent is that Danielle can clap with one hand instead of two.
Jessica Prost is a shy and quiet girl most of the time. I found out that Jessica can snap her wrists really loud, is an awesome dancer, can sing, and one of her unique talents is that she can open doors with her feet!
Whether you realize it or not, all of us has something were good at. Share yours if you do. Don’t keep it hidden!
