What is WHB Listening to This Summer?

Summer is approaching quickly, and WHB students are experiencing burnout and dreaming of summer. Driving through town or soaking in the summer sun at the beach is always better with a summer playlist. Whether you need inspiration for your summer 2024 playlist, or wondering what concerts to attend, some students of WHB share their favorites.

WHB’s favorite songs

Sophomore Kara Salvaggio says she thinks “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter is the song of the summer. “I love her music, and this one sounds like summer.” 

Some other popular artists chosen by WHB students are Drake, Bob Marley and Zach Bryan. Listed are the top 10 songs of the summer according to the Billboard Hot 100.

Concerts to Attend this Summer

Attending a concert is another way to create a memorable summer. Journalism teacher Mrs Mett is excited to attend Justin Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow tour. She said, “Justin Timberlake is one of my favorite singers. I saw him in 2019 at Mohegan Sun and I have been waiting for him to go on tour again.”

 Some other artists coming to our area are Tate Mcrae, Jennifer Lopez and Zac Brown Band.

With warm weather incoming, It’s the perfect time to discover some new music, or attend a concert to make new summer memories.

Sienna Meyer, a sophomore at Westhampton Beach High School, has lived in Remsenburg her whole life with her parents and two black labs, Francine and Samantha. Sienna has been a base on the Westhampton Beach Varsity cheer team for two years now. When she’s not cheering, she enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends and family, and dancing. When she was four she discovered her love for dancing and has been in contemporary and ballet ever since. When she traveled to her favorite destination she got to eat her first-choice food, penne alla vodka, in the serene streets of Sicily, Italy. She works at Quogue Beach Club and at Little Gull Cafe. In the future, Sienna has desires to attend Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and major in psychology. This is her first year writing for The Hurricane Eye.
