Luke Hefter, Staff Writer
Luke Hefter, a sophomore at Westhampton Beach High School, was born in West Hollywood, California but moved to East Quogue at age five. A passionate scuba diver, Luke has been scuba diving in Spain and the Caribbean. He dreams of diving in Australian waters some day. This summer, he also gathered 500 pounds of garbage in the ocean while scuba diving and received 25 hours of community service. Luke plays baseball and basketball for the Hurricanes and is excited for Jazz band this year. In the future, Luke hopes to be a lawyer or a restaurant owner. This is his first year writing for The Hurricane Eye.
