The Parade of Champions for the Suffolk County and Long Island Division III Champion Westhampton Beach football team took place in the village  on Saturday, December 16.

The event was organized by the Student Government and the WHB Touchdown Club. The parade was led by the WHBHS marching band and fire departments from East Moriches to East Quogue escorted the Long Island Champs down Main Street.

The team gathered with the community at the Great Lawn where Athletic Director Kathy Masterson introduced all the players. Suffolk County Coach of the Year Bill Parry also spoke and thanked the community for its support throughout the season.

Westhampton Beach Village Mayor Maria Moore, Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman and town clerk Sundy Schermeyer presented a proclamation, declaring November 26 Westhampton Beach Hurricane Football day.
