For the first time in over ten years, WHB is having a two week winter break. With all this extra time off, people have made special plans for the holidays.

Junior Katie Vanderslice has made plans to go to Florida. She said, “It’s my first time going to the Keys, so I’m pretty excited.” Florida is the perfect place to go to escape the cold winter weather, and enjoy your time off in the sun and at the beach.

Bryce Phillips, a sophomore, planned his plans around the weather. A white Christmas is something everyone hopes for, including Bryce. He wants it to snow so he can, “maybe take a few day trips upstate to go snowboarding, and you know, maybe make a couple snow angels.”

Sophomore Justin Smith also made plans for cold, snowy weather. He said, “I’m going to Okemo to ski. My family and I go there every year as a tradition.” Skiing with your family is a fun way to spend the holidays, and embrace the cold weather.
