Trackside Café, right across the street from the Speonk train station, has great food for reasonable prices. If you are tired of getting greasy egg sandwiches, Trackside is a great place to try something new.
I would have to recommend that you check out the breakfast menu. My favorite is “The Locomotive” a.k.a. Two-Two-Two, which is 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon, with toast and to-die-for home fries. If you’re on the rush and want something to-go, their egg sandwiches are great; I always get scrambled eggs and cheese with home fries.
“We have two cooks working in the back, so if you are in a hurry, we can spruce up something for you in a matter of minutes depending on what you want,” said Mel, who is the chef at Trackside. Trackside Café is a wonderful place to spend your lunch period. It’s a great casual deli, close to home, with very reasonable prices. It’s always nice to spice up the day with new places, so why not give Trackside a try!
