Beth’s Cafe, a longtime local restaurant in Quogue, officially closed in late September 2025.
Beth D’Alessio opened the cafe in September of 2010 on Quogue Street. For the past 15 years, Beth’s Cafe has become a very successful business and a true staple in the small community of Quogue. Quogue Village is getting a new cafe in Beth Cafe’s place.
Although the community of Quogue is sad to see Beth’s close, there is excitement surrounding what comes next. Hampton Coffee, a popular and locally owned coffee company will be opening in Quogue soon. The addition of Hampton Coffee has created anticipation and excitement throughout the community.
Hampton Coffee is known for its high quality drinks and baked goods and many Quogue residents are looking forward to the new spot on Quogue Street to come together and enjoy the familiar community feel that Beth’s provided.
Jason Belkin, co-owner of Hampton Coffee says that this new Quogue location is going to be very special. “It is going to be a full-service sit-down restaurant, just like Beth’s and The Inn Spot before that. We have a full made-to-order breakfast and lunch menu.”
The building where Beth’s Cafe was located and The Inn Spot before, is over 100 years old and has been a luncheonette most of that time. Belkin says that when he was presented the opportunity to continue the tradition, he could not turn it down. “We love special places for our cafes, so we couldn’t say no. We’re so proud to be continuing the legacy of this important part of the community,” Belkin said.
In addition to Hampton Coffee, Quogue Street has gained many new businesses such as Market Lane, EQ Head Spa, Studio 7, and Greiner Physical Therapy.
While Beth’s Cafe will always hold a special place in Quogue’s history, Hampton Coffee’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for the community. The new cafe will bring a fresh energy to Quogue Street and a great addition to the small town.
