Jennifer Canales, a sophomore at Westhampton Beach High School, moved to East Quogue in January of last year. She was born in Amsterdam and moved to Long Island when she was three years old. A self-taught drummer and singer, Jennifer wants to become closer with God because she believes that without him, she can go nowhere. Due to the difficulties of COVID-19, Jennifer's education has been affected; achieving higher grades is something she also wants to accomplish. She is well-traveled, visiting museums in South Carolina and Fulton, a small town in Upstate New York. In the future, Jennifer wants to visit Niagara Falls. This is her first year writing for The Hurricane Eye.
