Spring – the season after winter and before summer, when the temperature starts to rise and teenagers long to spend their afternoons outside and not stuck in class.

Summer is finally around the corner; spring is here and WHBHS students have already contracted a case of Spring Fever.

Dylan Holmes said, “Recently I have been experiencing Spring Fever because the weather is warming up and the snow has finally melted.” Kirsten Bonner also added, “Usually to handle Spring Fever I make a countdown until summer on my phone and try to spend most of my time outside.”

Kaila Gagne said, “Now that lacrosse is here and I spend most of my afternoons outside playing lacrosse and I am eager for the summer air and the temperature change.”

Kirsten loves the outdoors and spending time with her mom, she said, “My favorite spring activity is gardening with my mom at home, this helps me cope with my Spring Fever as well.”

Now that Spring Break is almost here some students are frustrated with the extra day we have to stay in school. Dylan said, “I’m upset we have to come into school that Monday, I really don’t want too.” Kaila agreed saying, “Since I came into school the day that no longer counts I do not think it’s fair I have to come into school for an extra day.”

Spring Fever is an epidemic, so try not to contract it and focus in school these last couple months! If you do find yourself with a case of Spring Fever multiple students agree a great way to deal with Spring Fever is spending time outside and visiting the beach!
