Get ready to dive into the latest nail trends and make a splash this summer!

When the weather gets nicer, nails get lighter. Pinks, blues, greens, yellows, and white are essential. Sophomore Delaney Ruga said, “Bright colors on your nails go great at this time of year for your tan, so they stand out.”

A simple design is always a good choice. Flowers, butterflies, or even a few stripes look great. “I love the hibiscus flower along with the bright colors to add a nice touch.”

Along with a pop of color, keeping it classy and simple is always the move. A simple white french tip or just fully white, is a classic for going out, events, or if you are looking for a timeless look. Sophomore Jasmine Taylor said, “French is always my go-to. It always matches my outfits wherever I am going.” Classy and simple is the best way to complete your look if you are unsure.

Once you know what you want to do with your nails, the decision is – where to go? It’s important to keep your options open. Freshman, Sophie Krzywda, goes to Aurora Nail Spa in Center Moriches, and says she always comes out with great results.

Junior Tifany Gomez prefers Maggie’s Nails in Hampton Bays, and said they have great prices. It is always good to keep it local for your nail appointments, so it’s not too far of a drive to get what you want.

Once you start, you’ll be hooked into biweekly nail appointments. Search for inspiration from celebrities like Hailey Bieber’s “glazed donut nails,” or just go with your gut! If all else fails, try press ons!
