The 2019 class enters next year’s school year lead by a group of four officers who will stop at nothing until they make the year the best it could possibly be.

Their goal: absolute power.

This group of executive’s titles themselves as the Bang Bros.  Composed of President Cassidy Canberg, Vice President Anna Duchidze, Treasurer Maile Santora, and Secretary Tyler Nolan, the Bang Bros plan to make several changes for the better in the 2017-18 school year.

I asked VP elect Anna Duchidze what her plans for changing next school year were, and she respond with an energetic, “I plan to do whatever I can to make next school year the most spirit filled and fun school year we have ever seen!”  The energy expressed by Anna really made me wonder what their actual plans for the next school year were, so I sat down with the whole team and discovered that maybe next year will be the best school year we have ever seen.

“One of my goals is to add in a couple more spirit weeks, and make sure they aren’t in the first week of school.  One spirit week that we get over with in the first week is not enough – we need more whole school interaction,” President elect Cassidy Canberg tells me.

Treasurer Maile Santora has some big plans as well.  She shared, “A big thing that I have wanted in my years here is a spring pep-rally, to bring the same energy we have for fall sports like football into the spring sports like lacrosse and baseball and tennis.”

Aside from the school spirit aspect of things, which seems to be the all-around theme of their plans for next year, Anna Duchidze adds in, “We haven’t figured it out yet, but we plan to make junior prom much better, the best it could be.”

In my years, I have not seen a group of class officers this ambitious and dedicated.  Exceling with the changes they plan to make will be difficult, but based on the energy I saw while interviewing them I trust that they will succeed.

Multiple spirit weeks, a spring pep rally, and a better junior prom seem to be changes for the better in 2018.  And according to treasurer Tyler Nolan, “These ideas are just the beginning.  I’m sure our classmates will love us as their leaders. ”
