Have you ever wanted to use your creative skills to gain a following online? Creativity is something that comes easily to senior Amy Pribanic from Westhampton Beach High School. Since middle school Pribanic has created short films, different skits, music videos and other kinds of films for her Youtube channel. She started her channel simply because she was bored, but it has become a hobby she wishes to take to the next level.

A ‘Youtuber’ is anyone who creates videos and uploads them to Youtube. There are many Youtubers around the world who make all kinds of different content. Some people make beauty videos, others create comedy skits, and some people create short films.“I saw other Youtubers creating videos and it looked fun to vent and do challenges. I loved the idea of creating skits at first and just found an interest for it as it progressed. Other Youtubers definitely impacted the way my content came out,” Pribanic says. Creating Youtube content could change your life for the better. There are many Youtubers who are making millions of dollars due to their success on the website. Others unfortunately don’t have the luck of becoming successful. “I can see myself still making these videos in the future, but i’m not sure if it’ll become my occupation.”

The Youtube life seems easy. It seems like you can do nothing, make money, and be famous all without putting much effort in. Well, it’s not. Youtubers become very critical when it comes to the content they upload to their channels. There are some Youtubers who quit creating content for the website because they lack of creativity. Other times, the viewers themselves could be a reason for a content creator to stop uploading. In Pribanic’s case, her viewers are the reasons she continues to do what she loves. “The feedback I get from my viewers or friends is usually positive. People watch my videos for a reason and in my head I’ll come up with these ideas for videos and think ‘wow this would be a great idea!’ I just have fun overall filming and editing.”

Pribanic’s passion for her Youtube channel is the reason she got as far as she has. Currently, she has 809 subscribers and the numbers keep going up. Her creativity is a good example of following your heart and not caring what others think.
