End of Quarter One!

End+of+Quarter+One%21

We’ve done it Westhampton Beach! Friday, November 15th, 2013 marks a quarter of the way through the school year. This means it’s the last week to hand in missing assignments and get your average up!

Social studies teacher Mrs. Cardo said, “It’s better to get your work in late, rather than to never get it in at all.“ So make sure you turn in everything.

Junior Laura Halsey’s advice is to “make sure you do your work when it’s assigned because procrastination will catch up to you eventually and you don’t want to be scrambling at the end of the quarter.”

Although this is the end of the quarter there is still plenty of time to get all your averages up. Whatever regrets you had in the first quarter, move forward and try harder in the next quarter! There are four more components that affect your overall average so buckle down and keep up the good work!

And remember seniors; it isn’t time for senioritis to start!  Although you might have submitted your applications for some colleges; it isn’t time to start slacking off with work and homework. Colleges look at your senior year averages until the day they send out acceptance letters.
