On April 25, girls lacrosse goalie Maya Farnan reached 250 career saves In the game against Bayport. Maya now sits with 303  saves.  

Maya reached this goal in just two years, as her freshman year was her first varsity season. Maya holds the record for single season saves last season with 175. 

 She says her motivation is her team.  She said, “If I play well the energy spreads to the rest of my team.” 

Maya’s coach is beyond impressed with her. Coach Bergman said, “Maya has the potential to be an All-American during her HS school career, and I think that would be a great honor for her to be recognized at that level.”

Maya started playing goalie in second grade. PAL was the start of her lacrosse career and now she is one of the big kids all the younger girls look up to. 

After high school she hopes to continue her lacrosse career. Maya plans to keep her options open to all colleges until she finds the right one for her. Maya said, “I’m open to any schools and I’m going to see what schools reach out to me.”
