Playoffs!!!

Playoffs!!!

With only two weeks left in the NFL regular season it seems that the spots will be finalized without our beloved Jets and Giants. A few teams are still left in the hunt these final weeks but it seems like Peyton Manning and the Broncos will lead the AFC with a record of 11-3 and the Seahawks will lead the NFC with a record of 12-2 as well.

In the AFC, the Dolphins, Chargers, and Steelers are still in the hunt to make playoffs. The Steelers have a very slim chance of making it, as they need to win both of their next two games and the Dolphins and Chargers would have to lose their last two games. As for the other two, whoever has the best record at the end makes it. Our very own New York Jets along with the Titans, Bills, Jaguars, Raiders, Browns and Texans are eliminated.

In the NFC the Cardinals, Packers, Lions, and Cowboys are still trying to make it into the playoffs. The Cardinals have a slim chance because they will have to beat the 12-2 Seahawks this week. For any of these teams to enter the playoffs they will have to win their last two games and have other teams already in the playoffs to lose their final games.

As for teams already in the playoffs, in the NFC, the Seahawks are in while the  Saints, Eagles, and Bears are division leaders. The Panthers and 49ers are in the wild card. Already eliminated are the Rams, Giants, Vikings, Buccaneers, Redskins, Falcons, and our beloved New York Giants. The Panthers play the Saints this week the winner of that game makes playoffs.

In the AFC, the Broncos and Colts are already in the playoffs while the Patriots and Bengals are division leaders. The Chiefs also clinched the playoffs with a record of 11-3. Also in the wild card is the Ravens.

The popular opinion right now is that the Seahawks may be the best team in the NFL with a commanding 12-2 record. But close behind are the Broncos and Chiefs with a record of 11-3. Be sure to watch these last two weeks of regular season football on TV. After the regular season be sure to catch Wild Card Weekend January 4th and 5th, the divisional playoff round January 11th and 12th, the Conference Championships January 19, and finally the Super Bowl February 2nd.

This year even though neither the Jets or the Giants are in the playoffs the Super Bowl is being held at Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which is just a short train ride from Manhattan. You can find Super Bowl tickets starting at $500 each for a general admission seat. Be sure to watch these upcoming playoff games as they are some of the best games all season!
