St. Patty’s Day 2014

St. Pattys Day 2014

March means St. Patrick’s day parades! Everyone loves the month of March; it’s the kick off to summer!

It’s time for the Westhampton Beach parade. Every year there are all kinds of groups in the parade from the fire departments and Cub Scout groups. The parades on Saturday, March 15 and the kick off time is at noon. The 10th woman to lead the parade is Donna Conti, the Grand Marshal for the 2014 parade.

Hampton Bays is also having a parade on Saturday, March 22. Their kick off time is at 11 and ends at 3.

The biggest parade on the East End is the Montauk parade which is on Sunday, March 23rd,  and kick off at 11:30 in the morning. Usually, everyone takes the earliest train out there so they can get a good view of the parade. There are big crowds so you should be careful if you go.

The local police departments have warned about a “zero tolerance” policy at the parades.  Students are reminded to be on their best behavior.
