Last month, junior Chloe Mosher became the first in her grade to commit to a college when she accepted Wingate University’s offer.

From a Hurricane to a Bulldog, Chloe will be heading down to North Carolina to start her lacrosse preseason in the fall of 2024. Chloe’s lacrosse career started over 10 years ago on her kindergarten PAL team and she has been a beast on the field ever since.

She currently plays for the Long Island Yellow Jackets and WHB girls’ varsity team. Chloe’s hard work and determination for the sport were what created this opportunity for her.

Girls’ varsity lacrosse Coach Bergmann, who has been working with Chloe since her freshman year said, “She has a great personality and always wanted to be a game changer.”

After visiting several colleges over the summer with Wingate being the last, Chloe came to the decision that she felt most at home there. And on September 15th Chloe accepted her offer to play D2 lacrosse at Wingate University. “I wouldn’t have been able to commit without my biggest supporters: my family and my teammates for pushing me to be the best I can and always hyping me up,”  Chloe said.

In the future, Chloe hopes to major in physical education and become an elementary school gym teacher. We wish Chloe good luck!
