New Year’s Plans

New Years Plans

Each New Year is filled with surprises. Some people make new traditions to celebrate their New Years Eve, while others follow  traditions that they have had for years.

Many of New Year’s traditions today come from old superstitions. The idea of shouting, party horns, whistles, and bells, came from the Native Americans.

One of the most loved tradition is the New Year’s Day parade, which is one the most famous parades of the year, the Rose Bowl Parade.  Another popular tradition is to kiss your loved when the the clock strikes midnight.

Other countries have (sometimes strange) traditions.  In Japan, the “faithful” wear a costume of the next year’s zodiac animal.  2014 is the year of the horse. In Denmark, they hurl old plants and glasses against the doors of their friends and relatives!

Whatever your plans, we wish you the best in 2014.
