The Westhampton Beach Farmers Market, held in Village Green on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. between May and November, offers not only fresh, locally grown produce and seafood but also a variety of handmade goods, making it a community event for families and neighbors.
Voted “ Best of the Best” by Dan’s Paper multiple times, the market gives visitors the chance to meet local farmers, discover cooking tips, and enjoy live music. People come to shop for everything from clothes and skincare to meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables. The farmers market gives locals a sense of community and a social place for families and neighbors to come together.
Many vendors have been attending the market for years, including Andrea, who is approaching her seventh year. She works for Turmeric Store and creates a variety of turmeric wellness products, with her turmeric honey being the most popular. “Just one teaspoon is equivalent to eight or nine of those shots you get at the supermarket,” she explained, highlighting why shoppers love it. She was friendly enough to let us try it, and it tastes just like honey with all the health benefits of turmeric.
Not only have the vendors made their mark over the years, but so have the loyal customers who have made attending the market a town tradition. Many have grown accustomed to seeing the same familiar faces alongside new ones each week, such as Michael, a longtime local. He described the market as “well-organized and not confusing like other markets. There’s always something new to see and learn, with different vendors every week.”
Come to the Westhampton Beach Farmers Market for a true taste of community. From handmade goods and fresh produce to a friendly place to spend your morning with family and friends, the market offers something for everyone. For more information, visit westhamptonchamber.org.
