Kannon Davis is a WHB junior known for his unique ideas and passion for his original hobbies.
Many would describe Kannon as unique. He said, “I love to indulge in activities that fascinate me & they tend to be very rare at least from what I have observed such as: listening to 1920’s-1940’s music, playing the accordion, learning German & Finnish, taking every opportunity to argue politics throughout my day, fencing, & understanding as much as I can about pretty much anything history.”
One of Kannon’s hobbies is fencing. He started fencing all the way back in elementary school in Denver. Kannon trained with a 3x Olympic Gold medalist who was considered the best female fencer in the world. Fencing appealed to Kannon because of the uniqueness.
Kannon was born in Denver, Colorado. He said, “It’s that being from Colorado I have a weirdly strong spiritual connection to nature & I hope at least for a few years I can explore the world & hopefully see every country in the world.” He moved to Long island in 2022 due to lack of opportunities in Colorado.
Going forward, Kannon wants to pursue a career in politics. He said, “My dream for the future is to get involved in politics. Debating currently whether I want to run for a position in Colorado or New York, but either way I’m confident I can not only contribute to the political landscape of the United States in anyway I can, but it’s that I feel I am dedicated enough to follow through with everything I believe in no matter the opposition. Politics is the way I know my life’s purpose is headed.”
Never afraid to give his opinion and make sure his voice is heard, Kannon said, “If anybody knows me in person they know that I am not scared to voice my opinions on the current situations of the world & will argue any perspective someone asks from me. While I totally need to limit myself sometimes, I encourage others to never fear opposition for your beliefs, represent yourself & ensure your voice is heard. It will benefit yourself & others.”
