It’s been 28 years since the last WHB football team took home the Suffolk County title, and it couldn’t have happened to a better team.

The undefeated Hurricanes (11-0) beat Half Hollow Hills 28-14 on Saturday in the Suffolk Division III final.  The Hurricanes were lead by senior  Dylan Laube, who had 29 carries for 185 yards and scored all four touchdowns.

It was a full team effort, however, that earned the Hurricanes a spot in their first Long Island Championship.

The team now advances to the Long Island Class III final next Sunday at Stony Brook against Lawrence; 12:00 at Kenneth LaValle Stadium.  See you there!
