Many of WHB’s students and faculty brought joy to WHB’s week before the holiday break by planning their own pajama day, wearing ugly Christmas sweaters day, and playing music in the hallways.

The whole week was basically a countdown to Friday, from Secret Santas, holiday concerts, and class breakfasts.  For some students, the real fun began on Thursday, December 22, 2016.

That’s when many of the sophomore girls wore their pajamas, and it was a big hit. I can’t say who exactly started it or planned it, but word caught on and luckily many joined.  When I walked into school, the first remark a friend of mine and I received was from Dr. Herr. He asked if it was pajama day and joked that he didn’t get the memo.  Sorry, next time!

On Friday, December 23, 2016, the long-awaited for day, the school celebrated with Ugly Holiday sweater day.   To add to the holiday spirit, members of the concert and symphonic band, under the direction of Mr. Seifert, entertained WHBHS students and faculty, who stopped in their tracks to hear the music brighten our hallways.  The day consists of food, presents, and not doing much of anything in class, but no-one’s complaining!

Happy Holidays to you and your families from The Hurricane Eye.  Happy new year!!
