Mr.Broich a teacher at Westhampton Beach doesn’t just dedicate his life to his job. He is also a father of three, a 23 year old daughter Olivia, and 2 sons William, 20, and John,14. Being a parent you have to be aware that there aren’t going to just be good and fun times with your kids, but that there are also going to be sad and tragic times that you have to go through with them. Everyday worrying about your kids’ health and what they are setting themselves up for in their lives is just just the start of the worries of a father. Mr.Broich have being both an independent person and a loving father talks about his relationship with his kids past, present, and future for them.

Mr.Broich is dedicated to doing the best he can to keep his kids healthy and safe. From the most memorable fun memories to the most tragic memories he still manages to keep his kids safe and healthy. What Mr.Broich is most concerned for his children is their life and career for the future. “I am most concerned that they find a good life and career,” he says. Mr.Broich has many memorable fun memories with his kids. “Some of the best memories I’ve had with my children is when my daughter played for the county championship in soccer and graduated college. Another memorable memory I had with them is when Will won a scholarship for art,” Mr.Broich says.

Although Mr.Broich has had a lot of fun memorable memories with his children he has also had to through some hard times with them, from brain damage to almost death. “Some tragic events that I had to go through with my children is when my daughter Olivia got hit in the head with a discus and it almost killed her, and a tragic memory that I had with William is when he had to have surgery on the middle of his ear and the doctor said that he could have permanent brain damage after the surgery if they hit a nerve,” Mr.Broich says.

Being a parent it’s hard having to go through the rough times with children but in the end the only thing you should be thankful for is that they are still here and in your arms. Mr.Broich wishes that he taught his kids to stay positive and work hard. His kids watching him grow up also could learn from him, no matter what Mr.Broich is always a positive and happy person. “One thing that my kids have taught me is to be patient while they grow into their independent selves,” Mr.Broich says.
