Jets vs. Giants fans is one of the greatest and hard fought battles in football. From “Mark Sanchez is awful” to “Eli throws more interceptions than touchdowns,” the Giants vs. Jets rivalries can get ugly and funny.

Which team do you think is actually better? Statistically the Giants have won 8 out of 12 regular season meets with the Jets. Another prize the Giants take are that they have won four super bowls and the Jets only have won one. Talking records? The Giants all time record is 680-568-33 while the Jets record is 382-448-8.

This season the Giants are 4-6 and the Jets are 5-5. It seems almost as if the Jets have the edge over the Giants. Jets fan Edward Ford said, “The Jets are better than the Giants. The giants defense is awful, even though the Jets have been very inconsistent, at least they don’t have Eli Manning.”

To keep things fair, let’s use a girl’s point of view. Giants fan, sophomore Julia Lewis said, “The New York Giants have had a very strong defense in the past couple of games, from what I hear my dad and brother talking about. Overall I think the Giants are just a more consistent team. Also, Eli Manning is so cute!”

Sophomore Giants fan Billy Campbell thinks, “The Giants have nothing on the Jets. The Jets have won against real teams like the Patriots.”

The Giants and the Jets regular season game results would favor the Giants. But, is this a good representation of the rivalry? Sophomore Jets fan Nick Einstman said, “Yes it is a good representation because the Giants are always the better team.”

Senior Giants fan Eric Silverman said, “I think this is a very good representation and the Giants should have their own stadium and not have to share with the Jets.”

For a more neutral point of view Steelers fan Zak Jones said “This doesn’t show the jets this season. Over the last couple years, the giants were definitely the better team. But this year, the Jets have come together and been able to win. But, Geno Smith has been throwing too many interceptions in the last couple games which is not helping.”

Which do you think is the better team? The 3-6 Giants with four Super Bowls under their belt, or the 5-4 Jets with one Super Bowl win and rookie Geno Smith taking the lead? A better representation might be in 2015 when you can do the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets chant next to a Giants fan at the Meadowlands. One of these teams has the right to be crowned “The King of New York.”
