Sending a candy-gram to someone you care about is not the only way WHBHS students are spreading their love this month. February, the month of love, seems to be filled with couples through out the hallways. Here are some of Westhampton’s best relationships.
Junior Morgan Tiska and senior Casey Hickey have been dating for a year and three months. Even though she plans on “forcing him to see Safe Haven” with her for Valentine’s Day, he describes their relationship as, “amazing and gets better and better every day.” She also calls him, “The perfect boyfriend and her best friend.”
Senior Kotryna Jankunaite, who has been dating junior Evan Gagne for nine months, plans on getting him, “a Canada shirt” because she knows he loves anything to do with Canada. She says the best thing about being in a relationship is, “always having someone there for you.” Evan advises other couples to “not do anything stupid.”
Freshman Gabriella Saso explains how the hardest thing about being in a relationship with her boyfriend Michael Gattuso is “not having any classes with him” and he says that it is difficult to “play Xbox and text at the same time.” But, the best thing about it is “having a relationship with your best friend and the warm cuddly feeling you get inside.” After dating for two and a half years the advice they give to other couples is “don’t get into stupid fights.”
Juniors Alexa Smith and Noah Terry, who started out as best friends have now been together for nine months. She thinks, “That is why we are so close; it is easy to trust one another.” He agrees that she “is the person I can trust the most” and also adds that together they are “freaking awesome.”
Another popular WHB couple are actually members of the faculty. Married on July 30th 2011, Mr. & Mrs. Erickson, plan on celebrating the holiday by “going out to dinner like we do every Thursday.” Mrs. Erickson jokes, “A happy wife is a happy life.” They both agree that if “the relationship is right then it shouldn’t be work. You should never try to change somebody because there will always be someone out there for you. You either love them or you can’t change them.”
Good advice for all those in love or currently looking for love. Happy Valentine’s Day!
