Joseph Kony, the head of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a Ugandan guerrilla group, kidnaps children from northern Uganda and neighboring countries, turning the girls into sex slaves and the boys into child soldiers. One way we could help these children is by making a simple donation.
One step, which already has been solved, was trying to get the US president to send troops into Uganda to help imprison Kony. The problem is no one can find him. Current Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni said that Kony 2012 video is a misleading video that was only made for publicity, and insists that Kony has not been in Uganda since 2005. “Misinterpretations of media content may lead some people to believe that the LRA is currently active in Uganda” (“Green…” 1).
With so many conflicting reports, including some who claim that Kony died five years ago, whom should we trust?
