PDA, also known as Public Display of Affection, can be awkward especially while walking through the halls, sometimes you find yourself smack dab in the middle of your peers’ make out session, with no idea what to do!
One of the biggest questions when it comes to PDA is… how much is too much? According to junior Scott Porter “a kiss now and then is fine, but more than that gets weird.” Senior Bret Tucker believes, “There’s no such thing as to much.”
Some believe holding hands is too much, others believe THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH. I’m sure all of us have had a run in with PDA, some people find it fine, some highly inappropriate, and some people could just care less.
However nobody really wants to get stuck behind that gross couple in the hallway that has to take their time and kiss between every step. Gianna DiGangi says, “People shouldn’t have to watch others making out we don’t want to see that. It’s NOT attractive at all. So just stop.”
Junior Daniela Garces disagrees, “If you love each other then go ahead.”
Students need to realize that we are in a public place… SCHOOL no less. You can kiss your boyfriends/girlfriends in private, but the whole world doesn’t need to see, especially when people are trying to walk through the halls. A simple gesture such as holding someone’s hand can do… you don’t have to run off and attack their face to show someone you care.
Since this article won’t stop PDA, my advice is you’re that single student walking the halls… just turn your head the other way and I think I speak for everyone when I say, “GET A ROOM!”
