HUGS Lends Support for SPRING SPLASH April 7, 2013
Benefiting Backpacks For Fellow Students (BFFS)
March 10, 2013 —Long Island, NY – Ariana DeMattei, a 7th grader at Westhampton Beach Middle School, announces a SPRING SPLASH sponsored by Human Understanding & Growth Services, Inc. (HUGS) on Sunday, April 7, 2013 to benefit her charity Backpacks For Fellow Students (BFFS). This is DeMattei’s first community fundraiser to help reach her BFFS goal of filling 150 backpacks with school supplies for area elementary school students in need by September 2013.
The event will take place at Rogers Beach Pavilion (105 Dune Road Westhampton Beach) from
12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. On-site registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the SPLASH is at 12:00 p.m. Music will be provided by STEELDRUMANIA, Hampton Coffee Company will be hosting beverages and there will be food and a bake sale. In addition, the event will have face painting featuring Emily’s Masks, a fire truck for kids to explore and raffles. Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, First in the Water, Largest Team and Most Sponsors. Each “Splasher” that registers with a minimum of $25.00 in donations, will receive a drawstring backpack. All tax deductible donations can be written out to HUGS Inc-BFFS.
