“And may the odds be ever in your favor.” You may recognize this quote from one of the biggest hits this year, Catching Fire. Newly released and already one of the most popular movies out, Catching Fire has made $691.2 million dollars worldwide. If you haven’t yet, make time to see the movie.

Ellie Cord has seen the movie and read the book. Her favorite part in the book and movie, since they are said to be very similar, is when Katniss blows up the arena. Ellie said, “Katniss is obviously my favorite character because she is a great leader and really independent.” She really likes the new characters added and is “team Peeta because he is so sweet and loving. He really loves Katniss with his whole heart.”

Kelsey D’Aires thinks all the characters in Catching Fire are “bosses.” Her favorite has to be Katniss but she can’t chose between Gale and Peeta because she loves them both so much. Kelsey said, “My favorite part was when they figured out the arena was a clock.” She thinks the ending was amazing along with the new characters.

Caitlin Smith is also fascinated with Catching Fire. She has grown to have a crush on one of the new characters added, Finnick. She said, “My favorite part of the movie was when Finnick had no shirt on.” She is certainly team Finnick. Caitlin agrees with Ellie by saying the movie and book are very similar but in her opinion the movie is better. Caitlin said, “I knew what was coming because I read the book but it was still frustrating because I don’t like cliff hangers.” Marc Schlecht agrees. He said, “The movie was good besides the fact that it was so long and had an abrupt ending. “

Catching Fire is definitely worth the watch so go see it while it’s still in the theater!
