On Monday November 28th a tragic plane crash occurred just outside the border of Colombia. As of Nov. 30th, 71 are confirmed dead and six are confirmed alive.

The crash occurred in an area called El Gordo near Medellin. According to officials, a local Brazilian soccer team was reported to be on the plane and of the many on the Chapecoense soccer team just three players survived the crash on the way to a regional soccer tournament. Mayor Medellin Federico said, “What was supposed to be a celebration has turned into a tragedy.”

The plane declared an emergency signal around 10 pm on Monday and lost radar contact which lead to the crash.  Dozens of rescue workers were said to have worked through the night removing debris from the plane and initially found five survivors.

Also with terrible weather conditions they had to stop searching for a while where they came back and found one more survivors who was pinned under a fuel gauge.

Due to the crash the British plane service is suffering massive heat due to the transportation of other important teams and people who are now in danger when they step onto the British-146 plane model. The Chapecoense soccer club is in shock and is devastated due to the massive blow the team has taken. What had been initially a massive uprising for the team had taken a turn for the worse. It had quickly formed into a massive downfall for the people of Brazil and the people of Colombia who are experiencing an incredibly rare unfortunate accident.

Overall what the soccer club and families of the deceased from the crash are experiencing what nobody should have to experience in their lives. To lose that many people due to one little electrical failure can show how a life can change in the matter of seconds. The club’s last words that were released on social media were, “May god accompany our athletes, officials, journalists, and other guest traveling with our delegation.”
