The Hurricane football team is currently a force in Division III with a 4-0 record.  The team is lead by C0-Captains Anthony Strippoli, Ryan Wagner and Dylan Laube, along with quarterback Tristan Hogan, and the rest of the team who have proved to be unstoppable.   A big part of their flawless season is head coach Bill Parry, who is in his 20th year coaching.  This may very well be his best season yet.

Strippoli said the team’s success is a result of, “Everybody’s hard work.”  Everyone, including family, coaches, and teammates.  Laube said, “I credit most of my success to my coaches and family.”

The victory against Comsewogue on Friday, September 16 was one of the biggest wins for the program for quite some time. It was the second upset wins after crushing Kings park in their opening home game 42-41. Crosstown rival Eastport South Manor and defending Long Island champs Sayville are the only teams standing in the way of the raging Hurricanes.

They will play the 0-4 ESM Sharks on the 15th of October and will play the season finale at Sayville who is also 4-0. A flawless Westhamton Beach season could be the start of an incredible run for the Canes and could spark a passion for the sport that the football program has desired for an incredibly long time.

JV player Tate Buhl stated, “I believe that the team is amazing, I think that with hard work they could make it to the LIC.”

Looking ahead to tonights game against Hauppauge, Anthony Strippoli said, “If we show up and play, we are going to win.”
