When you’re not going to the beach or doing other fun summer activities, look into some of the concerts being held on Long Island and in NYC.

Fall Out Boy, Wiz Khalifa and Hoodie Allen are teaming up together for the ‘Boyz of Summer Tour,’ they’ll be at Jones Beach on June 24th. One Direction is having their yearly summer tour as well. They’ll be performing at MetLife Stadium August 5th and 6th.

You can’t forget about all the music festivals. If you’re into country music, there’s the annual Freedom Fest held by My Country 96.1 at the Pennysaver Amphitheater on July 3rd. There will be performances by headliner Lee Brice, Will Hoge, Casey James, Chasin Crazy, and Joey Hyde. And of course, there’s NYC’s Governors Ball held at Randall’s Island Park on June 5th, 6th, and 7th. Some performers at GOV Ball include; Lana Del Rey, Drake, Charlie XCX, Florence + the Machine, Deadmau5 and many, many more.

Juniors Amy Pribanic and Chelsea Nichols are both going to see One Direction on August 5th at MetLife Stadium. Pribanic says, “I’ve seen them before, they put on a great show. Not only do they perform well, they really interact with their fans. They take time and answer questions that fans send in. It’s a really fun time.” Nichols agreed saying she thinks everyone should see them at least once, it’s definitely worth it.

Pribanic also said that Justin Timberlake is really good although she doesn’t know if he’s touring this summer.

Good Morning America also holds their Summer Concert series sponsored by Toyota every summer. Some performers include; Nicki Minaj, Luke Bryan, 5 Seconds of Summer, Hozier, Jason Derulo and many more!

Take time out of your sun-filled beach days and hit up one or two concerts this summer. It’s a guaranteed fun time!
